Bernadette Hall is a highly regarded, award winning writer who lives in North Canterbury.
Most recently her work has appeared in 99 Ways into New Zealand Poetry edited by Paula Green and Harry Ricketts and 20 Contemporary NZ Poets. Her work also features in Dear heart, an anthology of love poems edited by Paula Green; Landfall 223; Sport 40 and in the on-line anthologies Turbine 11 (2011) and Trout 17 (2012). Her work has been included six times in the annual on-line anthology Best NZ Poems.
In 2011 she held a Teaching Fellowship at the International Institute of Modern Letters at Victoria University, Wellington. She is frequently invited to perform her work – recent events include the Auckland Writers and Readers Festival; Antarctic Readings in Hobart, Christchurch and Dunedin; guest of the NZ Poetry Society, Wellington; Te Papa; and the Mahara Gallery, Waikenae.
