Keri Hulme

Keri HulmeKeri Hulme’s novels, short stories and poems are widely published. Her novel, The Bone People, won the 1984 New Zealand Book Award for Fiction and the internationally acclaimed Booker Prize in 1985. Maori, Celtic and Norse mythology, in homage to her mixed heritage, are threaded through all her writing.

Her long story ‘Te Kaihau/The Windeater’ appears in Nine New Zealand Novellas (Reed, 2005).
